Florence + The Machine

Florence and the Machine (also written as Florence + the Machine), is the recording name of Florence Welch and a collaboration of other artists who provide backing music for her voice. Musically Florence and the Machine's sound is generally referred to as soul-inspired indie rock.

My friend Elizabeth put me on to Florence + The Machine one day. No link to her website or even a Youtube video. She just had a good feeling that I'd really enjoy their music.  And it turns out that yes, yes I do.
